The Occupational Health Nurse (OHN) will be responsible for promoting and maintaining the physical, mental, and occupational wellbeing of employees within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
 

• Provide professional occupational health nursing services to employees.
• Conduct pre-employment health assessments and fitness-for-work evaluations.
• Manage health surveillance programmes in line with occupational exposure risks (e.g., noise, respiratory hazards, manual handling, chemical exposure).
• Perform medical screenings and health assessments as required.
• Maintain confidential employee health records in accordance with GDPR and nursing standards.
• Delivering occupational health services
• Managing workplace health programmes
• Supporting injury and illness management
• Ensuring compliance with Irish health and safety legislation, and contributing to a safe and healthy workplace culture

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse (RGN) with active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
• Minimum 3 years' post-registration nursing experience.
• Ideally 1 years' experience in occupational health, ideally within manufacturing, pharmaceutical, engineering, or industrial environments.
• Full eligibility to work in Ireland.
