Key Responsibilities
- Managing the day-to-day operations of the company to guarantee company efficiency.
- Ensuring customer requirements are achieved.
- Responsible for the well- being and health and safety of all employees.
- Implementing and maintaining operational and financial control systems.
- Monitoring and evaluating productivity and performance.
- Reporting and analysing financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirement and legislation including financial, taxation, health and safety and employment.
Other responsibilities and duties:
- Review of monthly financial information and analysis of same
- Preparation of annual budget, manage external Financial Audit, review of corporation taxes including R& D. Overall responsibility for finance functions.
- Manage commercial agreements and any legal correspondence.
- Direct and assist external legal advisors regarding legal matters.
- Manage annual insurance renewal.
- Play a leading role in cost control in all departments and with suppliers, identify potential savings and implement. Drive cost reduction programmes. Preparation of price proposals for new products. Reviewing and agreeing supplier and customer contracts.
- Monitoring and reporting on production efficiencies, stock management and safeguarding company’s assets
- Managing HR activities including advertising, screening and appointment of personnel and ensuring that employee records are maintained in accordance with GDPR. Responsible for ensuring that contracts of employment and employee handbook are issued.
- Being a key contact for all employees, providing support, advising and managing any disciplinary/employee issues
- Implementing and maintaining ERP and information systems that will meet the company’s requirements and the needs of various departments.
- Monitoring and reporting KPI’s to all departments and preparation of ad hoc reports.
- Responsible for IT infrastructure, both hardware and software applications
- Manage Health and Safety and documentation relating to same
- Product Development and samples – sourcing materials and planning etc.
Key Requirements
- Qualified Accountant with minimum 3 years plus experience
- Strong analytical and financial skills.
- Strong IT skills and proficient in Excel
- Clear communication and strong interpersonal skills, be a good listener.
- Leadership skills, including time management, motivating people and prioritisation of tasks.
- Organised and attention to detail.
- Multitasking and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Critical thinker to facilitate decision making.
