Location: Cork, Hybrid role

Job Summary:
As an ESG consultant, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our clients’ compliance with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) regulations and standards while contributing to their overall improvement.

Position Overview:
As a highly skilled and detail oriented ESG Consultant, your primary responsibility will be to oversee ESG reporting and compliance efforts for our clients.

You will work closely with our clients to interpret and navigate the evolving landscape of ESG regulations, ensuring they meet their ESG objectives while optimizing their operations, teams, and financial performance. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of ESG regulations, excellent analytical capabilities, and the ability to communicate complex information effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ESG Compliance: Interpret and analyse evolving ESG regulations and frameworks at the local, regional, and international levels to ensure our clients’ compliance.
  • Data Gathering: Conduct comprehensive research and collaborate with stakeholders to gather and validate ESG-related data, including environmental, social, and governance metrics.
  • Conducting materiality assessments, identifying gaps and building out the plan for success.
  • Governance Strategies: Develop and implement governance strategies to ensure timely and accurate compliance with relevant ESG requirements.
  • ESG Reporting: Prepare regular ESG reports, including sustainability reports, climate risk disclosures, and other mandated submissions, while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and transparency.
  • Data Analysis: Analyse ESG reporting data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and actionable insights for improvement, helping clients make informed decisions.


  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, finance, economics, business administration, or a related field.
  • Ideally experience consulting to clients as part of a business consultancy or professional services firm.
  • Proven experience in ESG reporting and compliance, with a minimum of 7+ years of experience, preferably within a corporate or similar setting.
  • Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD) and regulatory requirements (e.g., EU CSRD, SEC disclosure rules).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MSc) or relevant certifications in sustainability, ESG, or related disciplines are advantageous.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel, Tableau, or ESG-specific reporting platforms.
