Field Service Engineer
Description
This dual role involves providing in-house workshop repairs to coffee machines and modules, as well as offering an 'on-call' national field service engineer response service to a diverse range of coffee clients, including high street independents and national brands and organizations.
Rotating Shift Pattern:
- Week 1: Friday/Saturday/Sunday & Monday – 12-hour shifts
- Week 2: Friday/Saturday/Sunday & Monday – 12-hour shifts
- Week 3: Friday/Saturday/Sunday & Monday – 12-hour shifts
- Week 4: Friday/Saturday/Sunday – 12-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities:
- Disassemble and reassemble each module to a high standard, working as part of a flexible in-house engineering team.
- Maintain coffee modules to the highest quality standards, promoting the brand, and respond to reactive and service call requests efficiently and professionally.
- Perform a wide range of coffee equipment repair and preventative maintenance tasks, from fault finding to diagnosis, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
- Ensure that all work meets the correct equipment setup as per agreed specifications, delivering consistent coffee quality for customer satisfaction and first-time fixes.
- Collaborate proactively with the central call center, follow instructions, and keep them updated to inform waiting customers.
- Comply with on-site arrival procedures, introducing yourself to a manager/supervisor and seeking permission to commence work on equipment.
- Complete all necessary online job sheets, time sheets, and supporting documentation before leaving premises to validate client satisfaction.
- Maintain all tools, equipment, and vehicles supplied by the company in good working order, reporting any faults, breakages, or equipment failures to your line manager daily.
- Manage agreed spare parts stocks via a handheld unit, ensuring parts are invoiced to the customer, deducted from stock, and replenished to maintain your vehicle stock inventory.
- Adhere to all Health and Safety procedures, conducting risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment and reporting any risks to company management.

- A confident, flexible individual with a passion for customer service.
- Self-motivated with a flexible approach to work, location, and hours.
- Strong knowledge and experience of coffee quality and equipment.
- Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills with an electrical/mechanical background.
- Computer proficiency with a clean driving license.
- Excellent team working skills and ability to work independently.
