Financial Accountant

Position: Financial Accountant – Manufacturing – Tipperary West

Reporting to: General Manager

Job Summary:

The Financial Accountant is responsible for providing financial guidance, direction and leadership for the manufacturing business. The Financial Accountant will provide financial information and analysis to the General Manager and other senior management to support decision-making. The Finance Manager will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management and job costing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain financial policies, controls, procedures and systems to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, budget and forecast reports.

• Prepare and maintain an accurate and up-to-date job costing system.

• Monitor cash flow, working capital and other financial reports.

• Analyze and interpret financial information to support strategic planning and decision-making.

• Manage, lead and motivate the finance team.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory and legal requirements.

• Work closely with the General Manager and other senior management to ensure financial objectives are met.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACMA, CPA, ACCA, ACA).

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.

• Experience in the manufacturing industry.

• Strong financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications.
