Lab Technician

This position has the primary function of supporting process development engineers, scientists, and/or teams in the development of suitable manufacturing processes throughout the development life cycle of products.
Key responsibilities
- Performs a variety of duties in the process development pilot lab and wet lab areas.
- Builds or processes prototype materials, components, assemblies and subassemblies.
- Constructs, operates, trouble shoots, maintains and tests equipment systems and products.
- Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
- Performs tests, analyzes data and writes reports.
- Reviews or develops processing or manufacturing instructions.
- Maintains detailed documentations through all stages of development, testing and analysis.
- May assist in the transfer of technology and/or contribute in cross-functional discussions regarding device or process performance.
- Communicates any concerns about work process regarding environmental impact, health or safety issues to their Manager
Qualifications/Key Requirements
- Level 6 qualification required in a relevant technical discipline (Engineering, Science etc..).
- Demonstrated experience of working on New Product Introduction would be advantageous for this role.
- Experience of working with and contributing to cross functional teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
