Meat Packaging Operative

CREGG are looking for full time Meat Packaging Operatives for long term work in Watergrasshill, Co. Cork. This role would greatly suit individuals who are looking to start and progress career and a chance to grow with one of the leading Irish food production companies.

Our client is a meat production/packaging company, based outside Watergrasshill. Place of work is located 30 min drive from Cork City, 30 min drive from Midleton, 20 min drive from Fermoy, etc.

Please note we are looking for both entry level candidates (beginners) and experienced operators, as full training will be provided on site.

Job description:

• Be careful to pack the proper amount of product into each box or bag using a properly tared scale.
• Ensure that product is labeled properly and that part boxes are being used from freezer and that any part boxes at end of run are properly labeled and stored in freezer in proper area.
• Ensure that cooler is being kept clean and product is rotated properly.
• Ensure that there is enough product on hand at all times.
• Work in a fast- paced environment while receiving finished from production to weigh and label product.
• Transporting of finished pallets of product to Warehouse.
• Perform final check to ensure that items and weights match the orders.

Hours of Work – Rotating/2 Cycle Shift:

Week 1: Monday – Thursday and Saturday (off Friday and Sunday)

• 06:00 – 16:00 (Day Shift)

Week 2: Monday – Thursday and Saturday (off Friday and Sunday)

• 16:00 – 02:00 (Evening shift)

10 hour shift.

Candidates are required to work both Days and Evenings, on a rotating cycle.

Rate of Pay:

• €600 – €630 per week

Job requirements:

• Positive attitude and good attention to details.
• Previous experience working in food/manufacturing industry (preferred).
• Ability to work well under pressure and in cold environment.
• Own transport essential (due to location of site and hours of work).
• Ability to communicate in English.

Contract type:

• Full time
• Long term (12 month probation, followed by permanent contract afterwards)
