VMI Specialist
CREGG is currently hiring a VMI Specialist for our client, located on site in Dublin South.
Purpose:
To work with and support the VMI Key Account Managers on Vendor Managed Customer accounts to ensure VMI accounts are efficiently managed
Responsibilities:
- Stocking – restocking of goods into specific bin locations in storage area or direct delivery to labs in some cases e.g. refrigerated items and management and reporting of products with expiry dates
- Monitoring Stock – Regular weekly stock counts on selected areas and full stock counts on a monthly basis maintaining knowledge on all key parts for accounts
- Any other responsibilities associated with the VMI function; and
Participation in Project Teams as identified by the Senior Management Team
- Along with VMI Key Account Manager, identify and implementing cost savings projects for each customer
- Any other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Commercial Director
Experience/Requirements:
- Experience gained working in a laboratory distribution business and familiarity/an understanding of stock management and potential issues with stock management
- ECDL or equivalent; a minimum level of Excel to Intermediate level
- Full drivers licence
- HazChem licence would be an advantage
- Good communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to deal with people at all levels
- Willingness to learn
