Finance Director

Finance Director – Oranmore, Co. Galway

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Full responsibility for all aspects of a busy accounts department and manage and recruit appropriate personnel.
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts with supporting documentation to CEO and external shareholders/investors/banks.
  • Preparation of audit for external auditors
  • Supervision of fortnightly payroll & expenses
  • Ensuring proper books of accounts are being kept and all Debtors & Creditors invoices are prepared and inputted correctly to accounting system and properly and accurately reconciled.
  • Managing debtors collection and creditors payments on a timely basis
  • Current systems include Sage & Callsoft.
  • Migrate current systems to other efficient systems to improve overall workflows and drive efficiencies. Integrate current HR time & attendance software and other features to payroll software.
  • Manage purchase order and similar systems. Ensure value for money in all aspects of the business to include particularly energy contracts, insurances.
  • Monitor contracts of clients
  • Preparation of cash flow forecasts and budgets to include profit & loss and balance sheet.
  • Presentation of key performance indicators particularly labour costs on a weekly and an ongoing basis.
  • Prepare and monitor actual results with budget
  • Manage all expenses heads to miinimise costs where appropriate and similarly maximise all income opportunities.
  • Manage all other miscellaneous items within the accounting department.
  • Manage a team on 2 in finance

Requirements:

  • Qualified professional accountant
  • Minimum of 5 years of post-qualified experience
  • Industry experience in a large multinational or mid-sized SME an advantage.
  • Commercially astute, articulate, technically strong, and dynamic leader.
  • Exceptional communication skills at all levels.
  • People Management experience
  • Strong IT skills and ability to adapt to new technologies.
