The Role

Reporting to the Senior Maintenance Engineer, you’ll play a key part in ensuring equipment runs at peak performance. Using your electrical and mechanical expertise, you’ll keep high-tech manufacturing lines running smoothly, while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.

 What You’ll Be Doing

  • Delivering planned preventative maintenance.

  • Troubleshooting and repairing production equipment – both planned and unplanned maintenance.

  • Driving root cause analysis to implement lasting fixes and minimise downtime.

  • Supporting Line Support teams to maximise machine uptime and output.

  • Using trouble shooting and fault finding improve equipment performance.

  • Partnering with engineers and value streams on projects to eliminate recurring issues.

  • Contributing to 5S + Safety and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Reporting effectively on maintenance activities and equipment status.

  • Ensuring full compliance with GMP and FDA standards at all times.

 What You Bring

  • A Level 6 Qualification (trade or relevant discipline).

  • Strong electrical and electronic repair/diagnostic skills.

  • Mechanical problem-solving expertise, with experience in pneumatics.

  • Previous manufacturing experience (medical devices, pharma, or regulated industry an advantage).

  • Knowledge of GMP; cleanroom experience beneficial but not essential.

  • Proficiency with computers and maintenance systems (CMMS).

  • A collaborative mindset, with excellent teamwork and communication skills.
