Artic/Rigid Driver

CREGG Recruitment are looking for a HGV Driver, for our busy client in Shannon, Co. Clare.

Please note this is a full-time, permanent role, working directly for the company (no agency contract).

Job description – HGV Driver:

• Driving HGV trucks – either Artic or Rigid – on pre-planned routes
• Ensure that the vehicle is road worthy by carrying out appropriate checks on a routine basis.
• Ensure that the vehicle is driven and maintained in an appropriate and courteous manner and in line with legislation, health and safety guidelines and company policy.
• Report any vehicle defects immediately to line/branch manager.
• Ensure that tachograph and other essential documents are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
• Responsible for ensuring all orders are correctly loaded onto the vehicle in line with health and safety procedures and proper documentation is completed prior to departure in order that goods can be tracked.
• Ensure that delivery notes have correct signatures as per company policy.

Job requirements:

• Previous xp in driving HGV trucks (both Artic and Rigid – min 2 years)
• C and C1 driving license.
• CPC Models and Tachograph Card – up to date
• ADR ticket (preferred, not essential)

Hours of work – 40 hours per week:

• Monday – Friday
• Day Shift (average 6 to 10 hours a day, depending on the delivery)

Salary and Package:

• €43,000 per year
• Company Pension contribution
• Health Insurance contribution
