This job will suit a Production Team Lead or Production Supervisor that has strong people skills and will lead, motivate and support a team of 10 operators.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a job they can progress in long term and advance into a Production Management position in time.

A background in woodwork, carpentry, furniture making or similar will be a big advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and support a team of 10 production operatives.
• Run daily briefings and keep the team focused and engaged.
• Manage production schedules and allocate resources effectively.
• Coach and develop team members, driving lean behaviours and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with maintenance and planning to keep things running smoothly.
• Lead by example and rolling up your sleeves when needed.

Requirements

• Strong people skills: someone who is firm but fair, respected by the team and respectful in return.
• A confident communicator who can motivate, coach, and build engagement.
• Practical experience in lean, machining, or product management.
• Background in woodwork, carpentry, furniture making, or similar industries is a big advantage.
