Senior R&D Engineer – Electrical & Electronic Systems
As a Senior R&D Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and testing of electrical and electronic systems for medical devices, with a focus on catheter-based ablative therapies such as Renal Denervation (RDN). You will play a key role in developing and troubleshooting mixed hardware/software systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards, and driving innovation and intellectual property creation to deliver safe, effective, and differentiated therapies.
Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and debug electrical circuits and systems for ablation catheters and consoles.

Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis of electronic test failures at component and system level.

Develop and characterize catheter prototypes and console interfaces from concept to launch within cross-functional teams.

Analyze and verify requirements, circuits, and systems, ensuring hardware/firmware integration and physiological signal acquisition.

Research and select electronic circuits, components, tools, and practices for advanced therapy devices.

Document design and development through protocols, technical reports, and design history files.

Ensure compliance with medical device safety and EMC standards (e.g., IEC60601 series).

Mentor junior engineers and technicians, providing leadership and technical guidance.

Translate clinical requirements into robust engineering solutions and identify opportunities for innovation and IP.

Communicate technical updates, risks, and milestones to project leaders and senior stakeholders.

Champion patient safety and product quality, ensuring adherence to the Quality Policy and regulatory processes.
Education & Experience
Required:

Bachelor’s Degree (Level 8 Honours) in Electrical Engineering.

5+ years of experience in medical devices or other highly regulated industries, preferably with catheter-based or implantable systems.

Strong hands-on expertise in circuit/system design, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.

Proven knowledge of regulatory and safety standards (IEC60601 series, EMC).
