Technical Chemist – Shannon
CREGG is currently seeking a Technical Chemist for our client based in Shannon.
Our client specializes in the production of calibration standards, certified reference materials, and laboratory chemicals essential for precise measurement and analysis. Their products play a crucial role in ensuring accuracy across various scientific and industrial applications.
Role Overview: As a Technical Chemist, you will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing process and enhancing product offerings. Key responsibilities include:
- Batch Manufacturing: Oversee the manufacture of batches in compliance with established SOPs, including filling, capping, and sealing when necessary.
- Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to both in-house teams and customers, participating in daily Operations Meetings to troubleshoot issues and suggest efficiencies and improvements.
- Troubleshooting: Utilize strong logical troubleshooting skills to address and resolve production challenges.
- Customer Investigations: Conduct investigations into customer complaints, ensuring issues are resolved promptly and effectively.
- Product Development: Assist in the development of new products and services to enhance the company’s offerings and meet evolving market demands.
Requirements:
- Level 7/8 science qualifications, ideally up to PhD level.
- Minimum of 1 year of industry experience in chemical manufacturing.
- Strong technical knowledge and ability.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- In-depth understanding of ISO17025:2017, ISO17034, and ISO9001:2015.
- Scientific approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
