Machine Operative

CREGG are looking for a Machine Operative for full time, long term work in Parkmore, Co. Galway.

Our client is a large electronic device production company, looking to add a full time, permanent staff member to their production team, working in their blast room area.

We are looking for a person who is mechanical minded, with passion for working with machines and is good at problem solving.

Job description – Machine Operative:

• Process parts in accordance with the technical process sheet that corresponds to the job to which he/she is assigned.
• Notify the Maintenance Technician in the event of a problem with the process equipment.
• Notify the quality staff in the event of a problem with the parts that are being processed.
• Fill out the areas of the traveler upon completion of each operation that he/she is working on.
• Prevent the recurrence of non-conformities by identification, segregation, reporting the need for corrective action and verifying the corrective action is effective.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment and ensuring Line Clearance activities are ALWAYS performed
• Assisting with incoming inspection (e.g. count and package damage).
• Engage with Continuous Improvement activity.

Hours of work:

• Monday to Friday (no weekend work)
• 08:00 – 16:45 (08:00 – 14:30 on Friday)

Rate of Pay:

• €14.00 per hour

Job requirements:

• Previous experience working in engineering and/or mechanical production.
• Good knowledge of machines, tools, etc.
• Excellent attention to details and good problem-solving skills.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and dexterity.

We are looking for candidates who are flexible to start within 2 weeks' notice.

Please note Machine Operative role is a full time, long term position that will lead to permanent employment for the right candidate.
