Shannon Chamber Golf Classic

After winning the Chamber All-Island Golf Championship last year, Shannon Chamber is hoping that one of the 56 teams signed up to play in the 2023 Golf Classic will be victorious once again representing the region at the National Finals in The K Club this October.

The team at CREGG are practising hard to come out on top this June.

CEO of Shannon Chamber, Helen Downes had this to say ahead of this year’s event:

“We have always had a full house for our annual classic but the additional element of the winners going on to represent Shannon on a national stage has added a new competitive edge to the event.”

“Tee slots for this year’s classic, which is being held in Shannon Golf Club on Thursday, 22 June, sponsored by CREGG, have been booked up for months. This is perhaps linked to the fact that the winning team last year, representing Career Decisions, went on to win the all-island title. We would love to be able to retain the title this year and look forward to hearing who that will be when the final scores on the day are returned.

The only sure thing is that it will be one of the teams playing on the day. “We always enjoy seeing our members having a fun day out with their guests, while competing from some excellent prizes donated by our very generous sponsors. Days like this are only made possible by the excellent support we receive from many companies, through tee and prize sponsorship”.

Our Managing Director, David Fitzgibbon was on hand for the launch of the event and to try and sink a couple putts of his own and also had a couple of words about the region:
