Warehouse Team Lead
CREGG are hiring a Warehouse Team Lead for our client in Shannon, Clare. This is a permanent full time position.
Shift pattern –
8am – 4.30pm Monday to Thursday
8am – 3.30pm Friday
Pay Rate – 40-45k depending on experience
Summary
Responsible for day-to-day receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and fulfilling orders from stock, packing and shipping domestic and international orders with all shipping methods company currently uses or might use in the future. Any other procedures deemed necessary to ensure operational KPIs are achieved. Main point of contact for receiving and shipping from any area. Responsible for escalations, investigations, Back Log Management, Receiving and Shipping Execution to Metrics.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Must comply with SOPs and work instructions related to job function
- Will be held accountable to performance standards to ensure output positively contributes to area specific KPIs (Accuracy, Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost)
- Main point of contact for shipping inquiries for internal customers.
- Works collaboratively with peers and internal customers
- Proactively logs and escalates potential issues in order to minimize safety, quality, delivery issues and / or operational inefficiencies
- Participate in root cause, corrective / preventive action activities as required.
- Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory.
- Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying the correct parts, quantities and serial numbers that customers requests.
- Load and unload delivery trucks and make sure that each incoming delivery matches the company purchase order.
- Assist in reviewing pick sheets based on customer orders and then pulling the right products for each order.
- Move freight and stock to and from loading docks, delivery vehicles, storage areas, and production areas either manually or using equipment such as forklifts.
- Ensure the highest levels of accuracy in Oracle and shipping software transactions.
- Plans layout of stockroom, warehouse, and other storage areas, considering safety, turnover, size, weight, sub-inventory, replenishment methods, visual organization and related factors of items stored.
- Advises employees on safe use and operation of equipment, behaviors and requirements for safety in the warehouse.
- Organizes and schedules work for cycle count and periodic inventories. Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
- Assigns duties and examines work for accuracy, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
- Enters data and generates reports based upon individual entries or issues by subordinate
Qualifications
- Must possesses the ability to work at a fast pace with very high attention to detail.
- Must have flexibility to work overtime as required (including weekends) and periodically work a different shift.
- Requires the ability to learn, use and maintain specialized equipment
- Accepts and embraces constant change as a necessary factor to success
- Must be familiar with Trade compliance policies for international shipments.
Education and/or Experience
- Minimum 3 years of International and complex shipping experience.
- Minimum 3 years of Warehouse and Picking operations experience.
- Minimum high school diploma, or equivalent
