CREGG are recruiting a driven and motivated Business Development Executive to join our client, a market leader in their sector. This is a full-time, permanent position. The Business Development Executive is a revenue-driving, new-business hunter responsible for identifying, pursuing, and closing opportunities across the company’s portfolio. This role owns the end-to-end sales cycle, with a primary focus on outbound prospecting, managing existing accounts and consistently exceeding sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Aggressively hunt for new business through cold outreach, targeted account prospecting, referrals, events, and market research
- Own a personal sales quota and take full accountability for new revenue generation
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities with a clear focus on net-new clients
- Lead the full sales cycle from first contact through negotiation and close
- Close sizable, high-margin B2B corporate training contracts
- Penetrate target accounts and establish relationships with C-suite and senior decision-makers
- Execute structured territory and account plans to maximise pipeline and win rates
- Upsell and cross-sell into existing accounts while prioritising new logo growth
- Accurately forecast revenue and maintain disciplined CRM hygiene
- Partner with delivery and marketing teams to support deal execution and optimize sales effectiveness
- Represent the company at events and conferences to generate qualified leads and accelerate deal flow
Qualifications and Skills:
- 3+ years of B2B sales experience with proven success in new business acquisition
- Clear track record of hitting and exceeding sales targets
- Demonstrated strength in outbound prospecting, cold calling, and opening new accounts
- Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to uncover needs and position solutions
- Proven closing ability in complex, high-value sales cycles
- Experience selling to C-suite, PMOs, or Learning & Development leaders preferred
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
- Strong CRM discipline and pipeline management skills
- Self-starter mentality with urgency, resilience, and competitive drive
- Highly motivated, persistent, and hungry to win deals and grow revenue
