Production Floor Manager
Job Purpose:
Our client are looking for an experienced Production Floor Manager to take day-to-day control of their factory and lead their machining, assembly and dispatch teams. This is a practical leadership role focused on running the production floor, improving quality, reducing snags and rework, and ensuring the product leaves the factory complete, on time and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the factory floor teams across machining, assembly and dispatch
- Plan and organise daily and weekly production to meet delivery schedules
- Drive quality standards and reduce snags, rework and incomplete jobs
- Ensure jobs move through the factory in the correct sequence
- Maintain safe, tidy and well-organised work areas
- Deal with day-to-day issues on the floor and resolve problems quickly
- Support and develop team leaders and operators
- Work closely with logistics and installation teams to support smooth deliveries
- Report key production issues and risks to senior management
What they are looking for:
- A strong, practical production floor leader
- Proven experience leading people in a busy workshop or factory environment
- Experience in kitchen, joinery or furniture manufacturing is a strong advantage
- Confident dealing with production problems, quality issues and scheduling pressures
- Comfortable managing people and performance, not working on the tools
- Practical leadership experience and the ability to take ownership of a production floor are what matter most
