Audit Manager

Our client, a leading professional services firm in Ireland with offices nationwide have a requirement for an Audit Manager to join their team based in their Limerick office.

The Position:
The Audit Senior Manager will have 5+ years PQE experience working in a medium/large practice environment. You will work closely with experienced Partners, Directors and Managers on a portfolio of audit clients across a broad range of sectors such as pharma, manufacturing, technology, services and distribution. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional with strong leadership skills and extensive experience managing a large and varied client base.

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting directly to Partners, working towards the achievement of the firm goals.
  • Leading audit and audit exempt assignments from a combined pool of staff to achieve client satisfaction and attainable deadlines.
  • Manage and mentor a team of audit professionals.
  • Responsible for working to deadlines and within budget on each assignment.
  • Management of the firm’s relationship with clients including service delivery and coordination of service offerings from other departments.
  • Stay abreast of changes in auditing standards and regulations.
  • Involvement in training of junior staff.
  • Contribute to the growth and strategic direction of the firm.

To be considered for this role, you will ideally have the following:

  • Qualified Auditor or Accountant (ACA / ACCA).
  • You will have a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience in a medium/large practice environment ideally.
  • Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and accounting principles.
  • Proven track record in managing and developing staff.
  • Excellent stakeholder and client management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage deadlines and multiple assignments efficiently.
  • Fluent English with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen.
  • Excellent planning and organisational capabilities.
  • Ability to provide clear guidance to others.
  • Excellent computer-literacy skills.
