Accounts Assistant (3-4 month contract)
Our client, a well-established & growing company in their respective industry, are now seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their team on an initial 3-4 month contract based in their Head office in Co. Tipperary.
Location: Co. Tipperary – this role would be best suited to someone who is based in the Tipperary, Limerick or North Cork region and within commutable distance to our clients offices.
Reporting to: Financial Controller
Type: 3-4 month contract initially with potential for longer-term.
Hybrid / Remote working: 1-2 days onsite, 3-4 days remote working on offer.
The key duties of this role will include:
- Accurate and timely customer invoicing.
- Oversight of AP processing via Smart AP.
- Bank reconciliations and cash position reporting.
- Aged debt reporting and credit control.
- Month-end AR, AP, stock, and cash schedules.
- Resolve payment queries with suppliers and purchasing etc.
- Provide support during audit processes.
- Clear, structured reporting to the Financial Controller.
- Carry out ad hoc finance duties as required.
To be considered for this role, you will have the following:
- Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in an Accounts Assistant, AP or AR and/or general accounting support position.
- Good communication & interpersonal skills.
- Proficient across the MS Office suite with good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word.
- Previous experience using Sage Line 50 required.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage multiple priorities.
