Exciting new opportunity for a Process Engineer with 3 – 5 years industry experience to join a growing small sized manufacturing company in Shannon

Role profile

  • Ideal job for a self-motivated engineer who is eager to learn and grow in a varied, fast-paced environment.
  • The Process Engineer will be involved in in troubleshooting equipment, commissioning processes, and carrying out failure analysis, working closely with production and quality teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, good communication, and the ability to work independently while knowing when to seek support are essential.
  • Experience with high-temperature equipment, surface grinding, and materials is desirable, along with a solid understanding of Lean principles (Green Belt an advantage).
  • Programming knowledge (e.g. Python) and familiarity with LabVIEW are beneficial but not essential.
  • This role offers excellent variety, including supporting equipment transfers from the US to Ireland, and is ideally suited to someone with around three to five years’ relevant industry experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support equipment transfers from the US, including commissioning and troubleshooting
  • Drive process improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and cost
  • Lead failure analysis and solve technical issues on the floor
  • Work closely with production and quality teams

Requirements:

  • Strong hands-on problem-solving skills
  • 3- 5 years’ manufacturing/process engineering experience
  • Lean manufacturing experience (Green Belt desirable)
  • Self-starter with good communication skills
  • Knowledge of materials an advantage
  • Python/LabVIEW beneficial but not essential
