Trade Counter Sales Associate
CREGG are currently recruiting for a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Trade Counter Sales Associate for our client, a market leading retailer in the building supplies sector. This is a full-time, permanent position, based in their Cherry Orchard store. The Trade Counter Sales Associate will be responsible for building relationships, solving problems and advising customers to best assist their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be the first point of contact for customers and clients, providing a friendly welcoming approach and offer solutions to their needs.
• Building customer relationships and an understanding for their needs.
• Build a knowledge of the product inventory to best advise customers, fully training and onboarding provided.
• Take incoming customer queries and assist with requests and sales.
• Restocking shelves and maintaining merchandise displays.
• Respond to customer queries and liaise with other departments as needed.
• Assist with other ad hoc tasks as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience in a customer service or retail position
• Ideally some experience of knowledge of the building industry or products.  
• Great communication skills and a positive, flexible approach.
• A willingness to learn — new products or systems.
