Medical Device Assembly Operative

CREGG are looking for a Medical Device Assembly Operatives, for long term work in Sligo, Co. Sligo.

Our client is a growing medical device company, looking to add more staff for their day shift and evening shift requirements.

Job Description – Assembly Operative:

  • Manufacture of product in strict compliance with procedures and batch manufacturing records according to a production schedule.
  • Work with other team members to maintain current production including manufacturing of sub-assembly parts, assembly and packaging of the product.
  • Maintain accurate and timely testing manner, recording of test results related to quality, work in progress and special requirements.
  • Work with engineers and technicians to resolve process issues and suggest improvements on an ongoing basis.
  • Assist with training of other employees.
  • Will require to operate automatic, semi-automatic and moulding machinery.
  • Maintain clean room integrity by adherence to clean room environment practices and procedures.
  • Other such duties as may be assigned from time to time by their Manager.

Hours of work – 3 shifts available:

  • Day Shift: Mon – Fri, 07:30 – 16:30
  • Evening Shift: Mon – Fri, 16:15 – 00:45
  • Rotating / 2 Cycle Shift: Days/Evenings on rotating weekly basis

Rate of Pay:

  • Day Shift: €14.45 per hour
  • Evening Shift: €17.34 per hour
  • Rotating / 2 Cycle Shift: €16.61 per hour

Job requirements – Assembly Operative:

  • Leaving Cert and/or minimum 2 year Medical Device manufacturing/production experience – required.
  • Working knowledge of the GMP practices and manufacturing processes – preferred.
  • Must be a highly motivated with ability to make critical decisions and judgments with minimal supervision.
  • Interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are required.
  • Efficiency, attention to detail, dedication to quality.
  • Ability to learn and master new skills.
  • Must have a high level of hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to work with small plastic and metal components in manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to follow and execute processes/directions.
  • Use of precision hand tools.

Contract Type:

  • Full time
  • Long term (6 month probation/agency contract, followed by long term employment)
