Assembly Operative

CREGG Recruitment are looking for Assembly Operatives, for full time/long term work in Ballincollig, Co. Cork.

Our client is a manufacturing/fitting company, looking to grow their business.

Key Responsibilities – Assembly Operative:

• Machine Operation: Set up, monitor, adjust, and operate production machinery like mechanical presses, welders, or packaging equipment.
• Assembly: Assemble product parts using tools and equipment on an assembly line.
• Quality Control: Perform visual checks, take samples, and ensure products meet specifications.
• Material Handling: Load raw materials, label finished products, and pack items for dispatch.
• Maintenance: Conduct basic machine cleaning and preventative checks.
• Teamwork: Work with other operatives, communicate issues, and participate in improvement activities. 

Hours of work:

• Mon – Fri, 08:00 – 16:30

Salary:

• €16 per hour

Requirements – Assembly Operative:

• Technical Aptitude: Ability to understand and operate complex machinery (mechanical or computer-controlled).
• Attention to Detail: Essential for quality checks and precise adjustments.
• Problem-Solving: Capacity to analyze situations and find solutions to production issues.
• Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
• Physical Fitness: Stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items.
• Adaptability: Willingness to learn new machines and fit into changing environments. 

Contract Type:

• Full time (39 hours per week)
• Long term/Permanent
