Production Team Lead

Production Team Lead 

Day Shift – Monday to Friday 

Responsibilities

• Support the production supervisors in the supervision of production teams by managing the day-day scheduling of work within the team.
• Ensures that each team member has completed the relevant training and updates training records.
• Responsible for understanding the production process used by the team and ensures process compliance by the team members.
• Address initial employee people related queries and issues; liaising with the supervisor, HR and H&S and identifying solutions as appropriate.
• Champion H&S initiatives within the team.
• Champion the M&M Qualtech values within the team.
• Ensure that process, productivity and quality metrics are updated and that output goals are achieved.
• Liaise with planning, engineering, maintenance, and quality to ensure that all work is coordinated and delivered to customer expectations.
• Ensures customers on site involved in the activity of the team are supported.
• Support NPI projects.
• Ensure all standard operating procedures and work instructions are being followed.
• Ensure that each employee is working in compliance with H&S requirements.
• Participate actively in 5S and continuous improvement projects to improve productivity.
• Any other tasks and projects as determined by the Production Supervisors.

Ideal Candidate

• Team leader able to lead by example and can manage others to achieve targets.
• Can demonstrate a sound understanding of manufacturing processes and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Strong communicator both verbally and written.
• Flexible approach to work and capable of handling multiple priorities.
• Self-motivated and having excellent time management skills.
• Takes responsibility and looks for solutions.
• Good analytical, computer and technical skills.
• Strong awareness of Health and Safety requirements.
• Comfortable working as an NPI team member.
• Level 5/6 qualification relevant to supervisory skills in a manufacturing environment desirable.
