Senior Technical Talent Acquisition Specialist

CREGG are currently seeking a Senior Technical Talent Acquisition Specialist to join a leading medical device manufacturing company based in Galway on an initial 6-month contract.

Location: Galway – Hybrid working arrangement (2 days onsite & 3 days WFH)
Reports to: Talent Acquisition Manager
Type: 6-month initial contract

The Role:
As a Senior Technical Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will partner directly with hiring managers to support selection and recruitment of professionals in the Software space.
The successful candidate will lead full cycle recruiting activities for Ireland Manufacturing and support or lead portions of strategic talent acquisition projects, processes and programs to achieve business needs. You will ideally bring a Software recruitment background, with a thorough understanding of the Software talent landscape.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with management to develop job specifications/requirements, competencies, make salary recommendations and negotiate starting salary with candidates.
  • Evaluate employment factors such as job experience, education and training, skills, knowledge and abilities, and other data pertinent to classification, selection, and referral.
  • Develop and execute proactive sourcing strategies, develop networks to ensure constant flow of qualified candidates using various tools such as social media, career fairs, agencies and recruiting contractors.
  • Phone screen prospective employees prior to sharing with manager to ensure suitability for role.
  • Manage applicant tracking system.
  • Collaborate with Hiring Managers to create attractive offers to secure top talent.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience and provide regular communication to hiring managers on open positions and active candidates.
  • Team player with a growth mindset and desire to share expertise with/learn from fellow team and wider colleagues.
  • Develop strong, professional trusting relationships with our business partners.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Qualified to a Bachelor Degree level in a relevant field, a science or engineering background would also be beneficial for this role.
  • A minimum of 3-4 years relevant recruiting experience which includes experience utilizing LinkedIn recruiter.
  • Previous experience working within a technical organization, with a focus on Software recruitment is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and can also work independently using your own initiative.
