Rigid Truck Driver
CREGG Recruitment are looking for a full time/Permanent Rigid Truck Driver for our client in Co. Cork.
We are looking for someone who has strong experience as a Rigid truck driver but also has a customer service background.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation and delivery of goods to customers across Cork, ensuring all deliveries are completed accurately and on time.
Job Description –
- Ensure goods are delivered securely and efficiently to customers, meeting all agreed timelines.
- Track and verify customer orders to guarantee correct and complete deliveries.
- Communicate professionally with customers both over the phone and in person, providing helpful and efficient service.
- Identify and report any damaged or defective items in a timely and accurate manner.
- When not on delivery duties, support day?to?day warehouse operations, including the loading and unloading of deliveries, organising stock in designated locations, and assisting with inventory record updates.
- Maintain a clean and organised storage area, keeping pathways unobstructed and stock properly arranged.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of products to better support customer needs.
- Follow all Health & Safety guidelines and company procedures at all times.
- Carry out additional tasks as reasonably assigned by management.
Hours of work –
- Monday to Friday – 8am to 4.30pm
Salary –
- 37'000€ Depending on experience
Contract –
- Permanent Contract directly with the company
Experience –
- Hold a full, clean and valid Category C driving licence
- Demonstrable prior experience operating rigid trucks
- Proven ability and previous experience in forklift operation – Counterbalance
- Basic proficiency in computer use and systems navigation
- Digital Tachograph & up-to-date CPC
- Rigid C Licence – Small Rigid Truck
- Customer service

- Valid and up-to-date forklift operator certification – Counterbalance
- Certification in manual handling practices – Benefit
