Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Project Manager – Global New Product Development (NPD) to lead the delivery of complex, cross-functional product innovation programs across a diverse global portfolio. This role plays a critical part in transforming ideas into market-ready products, managing the full product lifecycle from concept through commercialization and post-launch optimisation.

Working across product categories including Class II medical devices, wellness products, nutritional supplements, and cosmetics, you will drive strategic execution, align cross-functional teams, and ensure seamless delivery against business, regulatory, quality, and commercial objectives.

This is a high-impact leadership role for a project professional who thrives in fast-paced, regulated environments and is passionate about bringing innovative products to market at scale.

This position includes people leadership responsibilities, with oversight and development of project team members while fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Program Leadership

  • Own and lead multiple end-to-end product development programs, from concept development through global market launch.
  • Translate business strategy into clear project plans, timelines, and executable roadmaps.
  • Establish project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success metrics aligned to strategic priorities.
  • Manage project budgets, resource planning, and forecasting across a dynamic product portfolio.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to project teams to drive delivery excellence.
  • Deliver regular executive-level updates, ensuring stakeholder alignment and informed decision-making.

End-to-End Product Development Execution

  • Build and maintain integrated project plans across technical, regulatory, quality, supply chain, and commercial workstreams.
  • Drive stage-gate progression and ensure milestone delivery against agreed timelines.
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration across Engineering, Regulatory, Quality, Marketing, Supply Chain, and external partners.
  • Maintain alignment between project execution, business cases, and launch strategies.

Cross-Functional Delivery & Governance

  • Create accountability across functional teams for milestone achievement and deliverable completion.
  • Proactively identify and escalate risks, roadblocks, and resource gaps.
  • Monitor and manage critical path activities and dependencies.
  • Lead structured project governance forums, program reviews, and leadership updates.
  • Ensure key decisions are documented and communicated effectively.

Regulatory & Compliance Alignment

  • Integrate regulatory strategy into development timelines to support global market submissions.
  • Ensure all project documentation is audit-ready and stage-gate compliant.
  • Align product development plans with multi-market regulatory and quality requirements.
  • Support design control processes in accordance with industry standards and compliance frameworks.

Risk, Change & Lifecycle Management

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to maintain delivery momentum.
  • Manage project scope changes, supplier impacts, and regulatory-driven changes effectively.
  • Coordinate structured change control processes in partnership with Quality teams.
  • Oversee sustaining engineering initiatives and post-launch product enhancements where required.

Commercial Launch & Product Transition

  • Partner with product owners and commercial teams to ensure market launch readiness.
  • Support successful handover from NPD into sustaining lifecycle management.
  • Conduct post-project reviews and capture learnings to strengthen future delivery performance.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with global teams across multiple time zones, with flexibility for occasional out-of-hours meetings.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving regulatory requirements impacting NPD.
  • Travel up to 10% annually for vendor meetings, strategic planning sessions, or market insight activities.
  • Support additional business priorities and ad hoc initiatives as needed.

What You’ll Bring

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or a related discipline.
  • 8+ years’ experience managing complex, cross-functional product development programs.
  • Strong background in regulated industries such as medical devices, wellness, supplements, cosmetics, or related sectors.
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong understanding of product development lifecycle frameworks and design control processes.

Technical & Project Management Expertise

  • Deep knowledge of project delivery methodologies including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
  • Strong expertise in project planning, critical path management, and risk mitigation.
  • Experience managing external vendors, suppliers, and contract partners.
  • Advanced proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, or Smartsheet.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).

Certifications (Preferred)

  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification.
