VNA Forklift Driver

CREGG is actively recruiting for an experienced VNA Forklift Driver, for a busy Cold Storage Facility in Carrigtwohill, Co.Cork.

Position: VNA Forklift Operator

Shift Pattern:

• Monday – Friday
• 08:00 – 17:00
• Half days on Sat from time to time (not guaranteed)

Salary:

• €35'000 per year

Job Purpose:

• To ensure efficient and safe handling of goods within the cold storage warehouse environment using a reach forklift.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load, unload, move, stack, and stage product and materials using a reach forklift.
• Store goods in the appropriate sections of the warehouse as per storage requirements.
• Operate the forklift in accordance with safety procedures and guidelines at all times.
• Perform daily equipment checks to ensure safety and report any equipment malfunctions.
• Ensure proper stock rotation and use of oldest stock first (FIFO – First In First Out).
• Ensure goods are appropriately stored at required temperatures.
• Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the forklift and charging station.
• Report any issues, discrepancies, or damages in goods to the warehouse supervisor immediately.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Certifications: Valid VNA certification/license (preferred, not mandatory).
• Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating a VNA/Reach forklift, preferably in a cold storage environment.
• PPE: Will be provided 

Skills and Competencies:

• Proficiency in operating a VNA forklift.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems is an advantage.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Capability to work in cold temperatures for extended periods.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Problem-solving skills.

Contract Type:

• Full time
• Permanent
