Project Manager

Job Purpose:
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of bespoke engineering projects from initial customer engagement through design, manufacture, installation, commissioning, and final handover. This is a customer-facing role suited to someone with a strong engineering background and proven experience managing complex capital equipment or industrial automation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage projects from award through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to specification.
• Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and risk registers.
• Act as the main point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Work closely with Sales, Design, Manufacturing, and Installation teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Review and approve technical solutions, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and customer requirements.
• Support on-site installation and commissioning activities.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and provide regular progress updates.
• Identify opportunities for project variations and additional revenue where appropriate.

Education and Experience:

• A degree, or equivalent experience in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
• Proven project management experience within capital equipment, industrial machinery, automation, or manufacturing.
• Experience managing projects from concept through installation and commissioning.
• Strong commercial awareness and excellent customer relationship skills.
• Knowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) and project planning tools such as MS Project.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel within Ireland and internationally as required.
