About the Role

Our client is looking for a CAD Technician to join their growing commercial division, working on large-scale residential developments and producing kitchen, utility and wardrobe drawings from tender stage through to manufacture. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with CAD or design experience, or someone from a kitchen/joinery background looking to move into a technical office-based role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare drawings for new commercial tenders.
  • Update drawings following site surveys.
  • Produce accurate kitchen, utility and wardrobe layouts.
  • Review dimensions and identify potential issues.
  • Prepare final drawings and information for client sign-off.
  • Ensure drawings and project information are accurate and ready for manufacture.
  • Hand completed projects over to the Production Team.
  • Work closely with the Commercial Manager, Site Coordinator and Production Team.
  • Manage drawing updates and amendments throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a CAD, technical design or related role.
  • Good understanding of technical drawings and design processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to review dimensions and identify potential issues.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of kitchens, joinery or fitted furniture would be an advantage.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or ArtiCAD would be advantageous.
  • Willingness to learn and develop within a growing commercial environment.
