About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Design Automation Engineer to support, develop, and optimise automated manufacturing systems. You’ll play a key role in troubleshooting equipment, commissioning new systems, improving reliability, and delivering automation solutions within a regulated manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and resolve issues across automated production equipment.

Investigate downtime and carry out root-cause analysis.

Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Support installation, commissioning, testing, and production ramp-up of new equipment.

Debug PLC, controls, electrical, mechanical, and software systems.

Support integration and optimisation of automation equipment.
-
Contribute to equipment standardisation, validation, and change control.
-
Maintain technical documentation and engineering procedures.

Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Maintenance teams.
Experience & Skills
Essential:
-
Degree in Engineering, Science, Automation, or a related discipline.

Proven experience in automation and/or controls engineering.
-
Strong hands-on troubleshooting experience in manufacturing.

Experience with PLC-based control systems and Allen-Bradley/Rockwell.

Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software-related issues.

Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation.

Experience with equipment commissioning and production support.

Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
