Junior Quantity Surveyor

About the Role

We are seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our client's team and support the commercial management of construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior-level candidate looking to develop their career within the construction industry and gain valuable experience across a range of projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of project costs and estimates.

• Support the preparation and submission of tender documentation.

• Assist with subcontractor and supplier procurement.

• Monitor project costs and budgets.

• Assist with valuations, variations and payment applications.

• Review and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations.

• Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation.

• Work closely with the Project and Commercial teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or a related discipline.

• Some relevant experience within the construction industry is desirable.

• Good understanding of construction processes and commercial principles.

• Strong numerical and analytical skills.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Good communication and organisational skills.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
