The Production Planner/scheduler is responsible for end-to-end production and supply chain planning—including raw material procurement, production scheduling, and shipment coordination. This role plays a critical part in responding to customer demand, managing inventory, and supporting new product introductions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage plant production schedules and raw material procurement plans.
- Collaborate with corporate purchasing, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely material availability.
- Analyze customer forecasts and manage capacity planning.
- Support new product development with materials planning and RFQ processes.
- Monitor and improve inventory health through metrics, reports, and MRP systems.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, TPM).
- Ensure compliance with EHS, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Engage in cross-functional teams for projects, change management, and supplier performance reviews.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree preferred; APICS certification is a plus.
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in production/scheduling and/or material planning/purchasing
- Strong SAP proficiency and understanding of supply chain/purchasing processes.
- Knowledge of EHS regulations and quality standards.
- Experience with continuous improvement tools and methodologies is advantageous.
