An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Purchasing Specialist to join a growing small-to-medium-sized manufacturing company based in Limerick.

This role is ideally suited to someone with 3–5 years’ experience in purchasing or supply chain who is looking to take the next step in their career and develop into a Senior Buyer position further down the line.

Experience in industrial manufacturing or machining environments is advantageous but not essential.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting and strengthening the purchasing function with clear progression opportunities into a more senior role.

Key Responsibilities

• Support supplier relationship management and assist with negotiations.
• Source materials to support manufacturing operations.
• Manage RFQs and purchase orders through the ERP system.
• Assist with purchasing activities across two sites.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and supply chain improvements.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and operations teams.

Requirements

• 3–5 years’ experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain
• Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is desirable.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• ERP system experience (M1 an advantage, not essential)
• Ambitious, proactive, and eager to progress into a senior/lead role.
