Graphic Designer
CREGG is currently seeking a dedicated and professional Graphic Designer to join our client who are a leading company specialising in manufacturing and distribution of cosmetic and healthcare products based at their offices in Co. Galway.
Location: Co. Galway – hybrid option after 6 months probationary period.
Duration: Full-time Permanent
Hours: Monday to Thursday from 9.00am to 5:30pm, Fridays from 9.00am to 4.00pm
The Role:
As a Graphic Designer, you will play a key role updating company packaging and marketing materials. The ideal candidate is proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, possesses a strong design aesthetic, is detail oriented and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced corporate environment.
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with the creative team and stakeholders to develop innovative design concepts and strategies that align with the company's brand identity and marketing objectives.
- Create visually compelling and engaging designs for a range of digital and print materials, including but not limited to websites, social media graphics, brochures, advertisements, presentations, and event collateral.
- Ensure the consistency and integrity of the company's brand guidelines across all design deliverables.
- Working knowledge of the printing process prepress, offset and digital and printing.
- Understand how to set-up files for printing, the printing process.
- Take ownership of projects from concept to completion, managing multiple design projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
- Research to stay up to date with design trends, techniques, and best practices in the industry to continuously improve the quality of design work. The ability to lean into AI, to work more efficiently.
- Participate in design reviews with Creative teams and the Global Creative Director, providing and receiving constructive feedback to maintain high-quality design standards.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of the company's visual assets library, ensuring easy accessibility and organization for the creative team.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude, contributing to a collaborative and team-oriented work environment.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
- 5+ years working in design, preferably in a corporate or agency setting. An understanding of the Direct Selling Industry is helpful.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Midjourney and other relevant design tools. A suite of software and a willingness to learn other software as needed.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of design skills, with a keen eye for typography, colour theory, layout, and composition.
- Excellent understanding of design principles, including branding and marketing.
- Solid knowledge of digital and print production processes, file formats, and optimization techniques.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders.
- Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and feedback.
