Project Manager
Job Purpose:
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of bespoke engineering projects from initial customer engagement through design, manufacture, installation, commissioning, and final handover. This is a customer-facing role suited to someone with a strong engineering background and proven experience managing complex capital equipment or industrial automation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage projects from award through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to specification.
- Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and risk registers.
- Act as the main point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work closely with Sales, Design, Manufacturing, and Installation teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Review and approve technical solutions, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and customer requirements.
- Support on-site installation and commissioning activities.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and provide regular progress updates.
- Identify opportunities for project variations and additional revenue where appropriate.
Education and Experience:
- A degree, or equivalent experience in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
- Proven project management experience within capital equipment, industrial machinery, automation, or manufacturing.
- Experience managing projects from concept through installation and commissioning.
- Strong commercial awareness and excellent customer relationship skills.
- Knowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) and project planning tools such as MS Project.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel within Ireland and internationally as required.
