Delivery Driver

CREGG are working with our client in Shannon, in hiring a Delivery Driver. 

The role covers accounts in Mayo, Galway, Dublin, Wexford and Athlone on a set weekly schedule, must be flexible. This role is based out of Shannon. 

The successful candidate will be approachable and level-headed, and have a good attention to detail, in addition to having a demonstrated ability to work on their own initiative.

Hours of work – 

• 39hrs a week 
• Core hours are 8.30-5.00 pm with one 8.30-4pm. Hours for the role are truly flexible as it needs to align with customer delivers.
• Flexibility to manage your schedule along with customer needs.

Salary Range – 

• €35'000 – €37'000 Yearly depending on experience 

Contract – 

• Full time – Permanent contract

Duties Include – 

• Deliveries -Scheduled deliveries to customers  
• Stocking – restocking of goods into specific bin locations in storage area or direct delivery to labs in some cases (e.g. refrigerated items) and management and reporting of products with expiry dates 
• Monitoring Stock – Regular weekly stock counts on selected areas and full stock counts on a monthly basis maintaining knowledge on all key parts for accounts  
• Participation in Project Teams as identified by the Senior Leadership Team  
• Along with Key Account Manager, identifying and implementing cost savings projects for each customer 
• Any other responsibilities associated with the function as may be assigned by the Key Account Manager or Commercial Director  
• Ensure accounts are efficiently managed. 

Applicants should possess – 

• Experience gained in a distribution setting /an understanding of stock management and potential issues with stock management 
• Microsoft Excel to intermediate level 
• Full Drivers Licence 
• Has Chem Licence would be beneficial
