Job Title: Sheet Metal Operator / General Operative

Location: Near Newcastle West, Co. Limerick (Own transport is essential due to location)

Pay Rate: €16.50 per hour

Hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
• Friday: 7:00am – 2:30pm
• 39-hour working week

Contract: 3-Month Contract (Potential for Extension)

About the Role

We are currently recruiting a Sheet Metal Operator / General Operative for a busy manufacturing facility based just outside Newcastle West, Co. Limerick.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous sheet metal or manufacturing experience, although we are also keen to hear from candidates with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.

Working as part of the production team, you will be involved in the assembly of sheet metal products while ensuring high standards of quality and safety are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble sheet metal products according to work instructions.
• Read and accurately use a measuring tape to ensure components meet required specifications.
• Operate hand tools and production equipment safely.
• Carry out quality checks throughout the assembly process.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet daily production targets.
• Follow all company health and safety procedures.

Essential Requirements

• Ability to accurately read and use a measuring tape.
• Good attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Reliable with good timekeeping.
• Own transport is essential due to the location of the site.

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience working with sheet metal.
• Manufacturing or assembly experience.
• Experience using hand tools in a production environment.
