Quality, Health, Safety & Environment
An experienced QHSE Officer is required to lead Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental standards across UK and Irish operations.
This is a key role within a growing, engineering-led business, responsible for maintaining QHSE management systems, ensuring regulatory and customer compliance, and promoting a strong culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve systems in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
- Ensure compliance with UK and Irish health, safety and environmental legislation
- Lead internal, customer, certification and regulatory audits
- Manage non-conformances, root cause investigations and corrective actions
- Lead risk assessments, incident investigations and safe systems of work
- Monitor environmental performance and support sustainability initiatives
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to embed QHSE standards into daily operations
- Provide QHSE reporting to senior management
- Travel between UK and Irish sites as required, approximately 8–10 trips per year
Requirements
- Proven QHSE experience within manufacturing/FMCG
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
- Experience leading audits and working with certification bodies
- Good understanding of UK and/or Irish QHSE legislation
- Strong communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to influence at all levels
Desirable Requirements
NEBOSH qualification, Lead Auditor certification, Lean/Continuous Improvement experience, or a relevant Engineering, Quality or HSE qualification.
