Location: Near Newcastle West, Co. Limerick (Own transport is essential due to location)
Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
  • Friday: 7:00am – 2:30pm
  • 39-hour working week

Salary: Competitive rate – to be agreed following interview.
Contract: 3-Month Contract with view to permanency
About the Role
We are currently recruiting a Welder for a busy manufacturing facility based just outside Newcastle West, Co. Limerick.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced welder to join a growing production team. The successful candidate will be involved in the fabrication and welding of steel components while ensuring high standards of quality, accuracy, and safety are maintained at all times.
Working as part of the manufacturing team, you will play a key role in producing high-quality products to meet customer specifications and production targets.
Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out MIG welding to a high standard.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Prepare and assemble components for welding.
  • Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Operate welding equipment and hand tools safely.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet daily production targets.
  • Follow all company health and safety procedures.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous MIG welding experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Reliable with good timekeeping.
  • Own transport is essential due to the location of the site.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Experience using hand tools and workshop equipment.
  • Relevant welding qualifications or certifications.
  • Forklift experience would be an advantage.
