Role Overview
CREGG Recruitment are currently recruiting a Junior Aviation Sales Executive on behalf of an established international organisation operating within the aviation aftermarket sector.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious commercial professional who wants to build a long-term career within the aviation industry.
The role is fully remote from Ireland, with only very occasional travel required for customer meetings, conferences or industry events.
Working as part of an experienced international sales team, you will help develop customer relationships across the European market and support the continued growth of the organisation’s aviation parts, repair and MRO services.
The role would particularly suit someone with approximately 1–2 years’ experience in sales, business development, account management or another customer-facing commercial environment.
Previous aviation or aerospace experience would be advantageous but is not essential for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop relationships with existing and prospective customers across Europe.
- Identify and research potential new customers and commercial opportunities.
- Support business development activity across aviation parts, component repair and MRO services.
- Respond to customer enquiries and RFQs.
- Prepare quotations and actively follow up with customers.
- Maintain regular contact with customers and prospective accounts.
- Assist with identifying customer fleet and maintenance requirements.
- Maintain accurate customer, contact and opportunity information within the CRM.
- Support management and development of the European sales pipeline.
- Work closely with sales, purchasing, inventory, technical and operations teams.
- Research helicopter operators, MRO organisations and relevant industry contacts.
- Participate in online customer meetings and sales discussions.
- Attend customer meetings, aviation conferences or industry events on a very occasional basis.
- Develop your technical and commercial knowledge of the aviation aftermarket.
Skills & Experience
- Ideally 1–2 years’ experience in sales, business development, account management, customer service or another commercial role.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Commercially minded and motivated to build a career in sales.
- Comfortable communicating with customers by phone, email and video.
- Able to work independently and effectively in a fully remote environment.
- Strong organisation, attention to detail and follow-through.
- Comfortable working with technical products and information.
- Good Microsoft Office skills.
- Previous CRM experience would be advantageous.
- Aviation, aerospace, engineering or MRO experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
- A Business, Aviation, Engineering or related qualification would be advantageous.
- Additional European languages would be highly beneficial.
