About the Role
Our client is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of mechanical services across a range of construction projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer looking to develop their career within a progressive Irish construction company and gain experience across a variety of projects.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in the planning, coordination and delivery of mechanical building services installations.

Review mechanical drawings, specifications, schedules and technical documentation.

Coordinate mechanical services with architectural, structural, electrical and other building services disciplines.

Support the preparation and review of technical submissions, material approvals and project documentation.

Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers to resolve technical and construction issues.

Monitor mechanical works on site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications and applicable standards.

Assist with project programming, procurement and the coordination of materials and equipment.

Support the preparation and review of project costs, variations and progress reports.

Attend project meetings and contribute to the effective coordination of works.

Assist with commissioning, testing and handover of mechanical systems.

Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with company health and safety procedures and Irish legislation.

Maintain accurate project records and documentation.

Identify potential risks, technical issues and programme constraints and assist in developing appropriate solutions.

Work closely with site management and project teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Requirements

Degree or Level 8 qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

Relevant experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within the construction or building services sector.

Strong understanding of mechanical building services and construction processes.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Good knowledge of health and safety requirements within the construction industry.

Strong organisational and communication skills.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary project team.

Excellent attention to detail and a practical, problem-solving approach.

Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks or other relevant engineering software would be an advantage.

Full driving licence is desirable.
