Transport Administrator
CREGG are seeking an organised, reliable and team-focused Transport Administrator to join our client’s transport team in Oranmore, Galway. This is a full-time, permanent onsite position, reporting directly to the Head of Transport. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to the transport function, working closely with the transport, warehouse and administration teams, customers, drivers and third-party transport providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Transport Coordinator and wider logistics team.
  • Assist with the daily coordination of customer deliveries and collections.
  • Liaise with customers, hauliers and drivers regarding delivery and collection arrangements.
  • Update transport schedules and internal systems with accurate information.
  • Monitor deliveries and collections and highlight delays or issues to the Transport Coordinator.
  • Follow up on Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation.
  • Assist with re-deliveries, uplifts and other transport requirements.
  • Communicate with the warehouse team regarding load readiness and collection times.
  • Support the investigation and recording of delivery or transport issues.
  • Assist with transport reporting and general administration.
  • Take ownership of administrative tasks and follow issues through to completion.
  • Support colleagues across the wider Client business where required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience within transport, logistics, warehousing, food distribution or FMCG would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Strong team-player mentality with a willingness to support colleagues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy operational environment.
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Confidence communicating with customers, drivers, hauliers and colleagues.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
