Installation Coordinator

Installation Coordinator
CREGG are recruiting for an Installation Coordinator to join our client’s growing commercial team. This is a full-time position, initially on a three-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced kitchen fitter or installer who is ready to move away from full-time fitting and into a project coordination role. This a great opportunity for someone to join an award-winning company as they continue to grow.

The successful candidate will use their practical experience to accurately survey projects, coordinate fitting teams and work closely with site managers, foremen and internal departments to ensure installations progress smoothly from survey through to completion, predominantly with kitchen installations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out accurate site surveys for upcoming kitchen, utility and wardrobe installations.
  • Record all relevant dimensions, services and site-specific information.
  • Provide clear and accurate survey information to the CAD team to allow drawings to be updated for manufacture.
  • Liaise with site managers and foremen regarding project programmes and required installation dates.
  • Monitor site readiness and identify potential issues before fitting teams arrive.
  • Plan upcoming installations around site requirements, production lead times and fitter availability.
  • Allocate work to fitting teams and ensure each team has a consistent workload.
  • Act as the main day-to-day point of contact for kitchen fitters.
  • Resolve site queries, shortages and installation issues as they arise.
  • Inspect completed installations and prepare snag lists.
  • Carry out minor remedial works where practical.
  • Follow projects through until installation and snagging are fully completed.
  • Work closely with the Commercial Contracts Manager, CAD/Design team, Production Department, site management and fitting teams.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong practical knowledge of kitchens and kitchen installation.
  • Previous experience as a Kitchen Fitter, Kitchen Installer, Installation Supervisor, Site Coordinator, Kitchen Surveyor, Joiner or Cabinet Maker would be advantageous.
  • Ability to accurately survey and measure jobs.
  • Strong problem-solving and practical decision-making skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple sites and priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification.
