Contract: 9 Months

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join a construction project in Dublin on a 9-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting out works accurately on site, working closely with the Site Management and Engineering teams to ensure construction activities are delivered to the required specifications and programme.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Setting Out Engineer looking to gain further experience on a major Dublin project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set out works accurately in accordance with drawings, specifications and project requirements.

  • Carry out surveying and setting out using Total Station, GPS and other surveying equipment.

  • Establish and maintain site control points and benchmarks.

  • Check levels, dimensions and alignment of construction works.

  • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

  • Provide technical support and information to the Site Management team.

  • Work closely with Site Managers, Engineers, subcontractors and other site personnel.

  • Complete quality checks and ensure works are constructed in accordance with the design.

  • Record and report any discrepancies or issues identified on site.

  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of site records and documentation.

  • Ensure all setting out activities are carried out in line with Health & Safety requirements.

Requirements

  • Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related discipline.

  • Strong experience using Total Station and GPS equipment.

  • Ability to accurately read and interpret construction drawings.

  • Good understanding of construction methods and site procedures.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Good communication and organisational skills.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a site team.

  • Full driving licence is desirable.
