Shunter Driver

CREGG Recruitment are currently hiring Shunter Driver for our client in Naas, Co-Kildare.

Job Title:
Shunter Driver, Warehouse (Specified Purpose)

Hours & Location:
39 Hours per week, Naas, Co Kildare

Rate of Pay:

• Depending on Experience.

Reporting To:
Warehouse Manager / Supervisor

Main Purpose of Job:
To put trailers on the bay in accordance with Health and Safety regulations in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company quality procedures and statutory requirements.

Key Accountability:

• Handle and dispatch trailers from yard / trailer park expediently and efficiently.
• Perform visual inspection of mechanical handling equipment and report any faults.
• Assess condition of vehicle to be loaded to ensure is safe and suitable for its purpose.
• Ensure all relevant administration procedures are followed and completed.
• Work within Health and Safety regulations as well as within those stated in IMDG/ADR requirements, notify / take action where necessary.
• Fulfil company policy on security and quality. Maintain a good working environment in a safe and tidy manner.

Skills and Experience:

• Possess minimum 1-2 years previous Shunter / HGV experience.
• Shunter / HGV License or Certification is essential.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
• Full clean driver’s license.
