Key Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:

Program and maintain all SMT equipment, including the Printer, Pick-and-Place machines, and AOI systems.

Develop and optimise reflow oven profiles and manage oven programming.

Set up and support PTH (Plated Through-Hole) manufacturing processes and equipment.

Liaise with customers to define and implement optimal test equipment and program configurations.

Collaborate with customers on New Product Introduction (NPI) projects to improve product manufacturability and ensure projects are delivered according to schedule.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with business objectives and cost reduction targets.

Prepare and maintain assembly documentation, process instructions, and related manufacturing documentation.

Train production operatives on assembly processes and procedures.

Support the Maintenance Team in developing planned maintenance routines for SMT equipment and perform critical engineering maintenance tasks when required.

Provide technical support to the production team to ensure efficient manufacturing operations.

Implement process control methodologies such as FMEA and Control Plans as part of the change management process.

Ensure full compliance with all health and safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment, ensuring all housekeeping standards are met.

Support the organisation’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives and objectives.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and undertake additional reasonable tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Essential Requirements

Level 8 qualification in Manufacturing Engineering or a related engineering discipline (or equivalent experience).

Experience working with engineering Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical drawings.

Flexibility to work overtime or weekends when required to support business needs.

Demonstrated working knowledge of SMT components and manufacturing processes.
