Warehouse Operative – Part Time.

CREGG are working with our Transportation and Logistics client in Shannon, Clare, in hiring a Warehouse Operative – Part Time.

The Warehouse Operator would be required to work for there early shift morning hours from 5 30am to 9 30am, Monday- Friday. The position is in an extremely busy warehouse environment, and candidate should have experience in this environment. Candidate should also have own transport due to early hour of shift start, be self-motivated and possess a positive can-do attitude.

Job Responsibilities / Description

• Unloading Inbound trailers.
• Loading/Unloading Domestic Delivery drivers.
• Loading/Unloading logistics stock vehicles.
• Identifying any missing/damaged freight and immediately advising transport planner.
• Scanning of Inbound freight.
• Assisting with cleaning of warehouse and perimeter of building.
• Paperwork: Handing all paperwork received into transport office.
• Planning of loads in warehouse.
• Measuring of freight on request of transport planner.
• Accepting freight into warehouse in correct manner – signing for damages/shortages on arrival.
• Assisting in cover for Transport Planner.
• Pictures of any damages must be taken and reported accordingly
• Other duties as requested

Hours of work:

• Monday – Friday, 05:30 – 09:30. Flexible start time from 06:00 – 10:00 available for right candidate. 

Part-Time (20 h/week), long-term position,

Rate of Pay:

• €15.31 per hour

Warehouse Qualifications and skills.

• Prior experience working in a warehouse environment.
• Forklift License is preference.  
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work on own initiative and, also as part of a team.
• Possess a good standard of English spoken and reading.
• Manual Handling certificate required.
• Adhering to all company Health and Safety guidelines.
• Time management – It is very important that warehouse operative arrives for shift on time and does not leave before scheduled finish time.
